CivicReady Mass Communication System Signup Information

The city has a new communication system, starting the end of June 2023, where emails, text messages and voicemails can be sent to residents of the city. 

Items such as emergency notifications, agendas, and events such as Health Days are sent out to those in the system. This new system will let you select which notifications you want to receive and for which organizations. 

Typically emails are sent with a rare text message or voicemail.

Utah Public Notice Website

You can sign up to receive email notifications when agendas, public hearings and other items are posted by signing up for email notifications on the following website.

Go to the Utah Public Notice Website by clicking HERE. 

Scroll towards the bottom of the page. 

Under Government Type click on “Municipality”.

Under Entity select “Smithfield”.

After clicking on “Smithfield” to the right under Body(s) you will see Appeal Authority, City Council, Historic Preservation Commission, Library Board, Planning Commission and Tree Committee.

Click on the Body you would like to follow such as “Planning Commission”. Below you will see agendas, annexations notices, rezone public hearings, etc.

If you want to be notified when notices are posted click on “Subscribe to this Body” which is right below Body(s) and you will be asked to input your name and email address to subscribe and then click Send.

When items are posted on this website you will receive an email from that Body.

In order to receive emails from more than one Body you will need to subscribe to each Body separately.
