The Smithfield Public Libraries Mission Statement is:

We are located at 25 North Main Street in Smithfield, Utah and the library entrance is on the west side of the building.

OBTAINING A LIBRARY ACCOUNT

New library patrons wishing to create an account must fill out an application and will be required to show two forms of identification. At least one form of identification must show your current address (a city bill is preferred). Acceptable ID includes:

  • Current driver's license or state ID
  • Rental or lease agreement showing your name and address
  • Sign-up receipt or bill for Smithfield City utilities
  • Current bill or bank statement showing your name and address

CREATING  YOUR ONLINE ACCOUNT

Once you have signed up for a library account at the library you can create your online account. This will allow you to check the status of your borrowed library materials, renew items and place items on hold. Go to the library online catalog here. Select Smithfield Public Library as your library. Then, in the upper right hand corner of the catalog, choose the option "create account". Using your patron account number (available at the library) and name you can create a user name & password.
